This explains what data Detail Vault collects, and what happens when you click an affiliate link.

1. What we collect directly

Detail Vault has no user accounts, no checkout, and no contact or newsletter forms on the site itself — so we don't directly collect any personal data from you as a visitor. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to submit.

2. Affiliate links & third parties

Our Shop and product recommendations link out mainly to Amazon (via the Amazon Associates programme), and sometimes to Awin-partnered retailers such as MyMotorWorld or GSF Car Parts. When you click through, that retailer may set their own tracking cookie so they (and we) can see that a purchase came from Detail Vault — this is standard affiliate tracking, used so we can earn a commission at no extra cost to you, per our Terms & Conditions. Once you're on their site, your data is handled under their own privacy policy, not ours.

3. Cookies

We don't currently set any cookies of our own on this site — no analytics or ad-tracking tools are in use yet. If that changes, we'll add a real cookie notice at that point rather than before.

4. Your rights

Because we don't hold any personal data about you directly, there's nothing for us to correct or delete on our end. Any data-related questions about a purchase or a tracking cookie should go to the retailer (Amazon, MyMotorWorld, GSF Car Parts, etc.) whose site you actually bought from.
