These terms apply to your use of Detail Vault (this website). Please read them before using the site.
1. What this site is
Detail Vault is a content and recommendation site for car care and detailing — real, researched guides and product recommendations for UK drivers. We don't sell anything directly: we have no user accounts, no checkout, and no shopping cart on this site itself.
2. Affiliate links
Many links on this site, including everything in our Shop, are affiliate links — mainly through the Amazon Associates programme, with some products routed through Awin-partnered retailers (such as MyMotorWorld or GSF Car Parts) where that's a better price or stock match for that specific product. If you click through and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Any purchase itself happens on the retailer's own site, under their own terms — not ours.
3. Accuracy of information
We do real research before recommending a product, but prices, stock, and product details change on the retailer's end after we publish — always check the current price and listing on the retailer's site before buying. Where we're not confident in a price, we say "Price on Amazon" rather than guessing.
4. No professional advice
Guides on this site (like our Insurance and MOT pages) are general information, not professional advice. For real insurance or vehicle-safety decisions, talk to a qualified insurer, mechanic, or MOT tester directly.
5. Liability
We take reasonable care to keep this site accurate and useful, but we're not liable for losses arising from products bought through our links, or decisions made based on our guides — those purchases and decisions are between you and the retailer/professional involved.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
